National Power Corporation Moves to New Facilities:

Chicago, October 1995: National Power Corporation, a leading assembler of OEM battery packs, has relocated to new facilities located on Chicago’s North Side.

"We have basically reached a level where the move is necessary", said Company President Ira Alport. "The new 23,000 square foot building affords us the efficiencies needed to remain competitive. We’ve more than doubled our available capacity to support growth projections, providing National Power with adequate space for future plans. The new site, located just a few miles from the previous, was chosen to assure that we would sustain continuity of our work force, many of our floor supervisors and skilled assemblers have been with us for years".
